Padmasambhava Guruyoga and Long Life Practice

The main PracticeIn order to make the most of the last waxing moon period of the Earth Boar year, this 7 day retreat will be mostly dedicated to the Guruyoga and Long Life practice of Guru Padmasambhava. As such this retreat will be a precious opportunity to deepen our connection and knowledge of the teachings that we received from our Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.

The LocationWaiheke is a small island found a breeze away from Auckland, New Zealand, which makes its location secluded, intimate and extremely accessible. During the end of January, the weather is usually dry and warm which makes it ideal for practice, relaxation and rejuvenation. Furthermore, the open sky surrounding the retreat setting and its closest beach 5 minutes walk away are inducive for a calm and contemplative atmosphere

The instructor
This retreat will be lead by Santi Maha Sangha Base Level instructor Arnaud Coquillard. Arnaud has been a student of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu since 2008, completed his teacher training in 2015 and lead more than 15 Santi Maha Sangha retreats since then in Australia, France, Spain and New Zealand.

During the retreat, practices such as Rushen, Semdzin, Yantra Yoga with Dean, Ganapuja and other collective practices might be offered. Please let us know what practices you would like to do during the retreat by filling up the registration form below.

AccommodationIf you want an accommodation other than your tent please contact the Gakyil by filling in the registering form below as soon as possible, as places on Waiheke at this time of the year are limited.

Cost of the retreatThe 7 day retreat fees are of NZ$425 which includes:
- retreat organisational cost - full lunches, dinners and simple breakfasts over the 7 days - possibility to stay and use onsite facilities if you bring your own tent If you wish to attend part of the retreat: - for one, two or three days the cost would be NZ$110 plus NZ$30 per day for food and onsite facilities. - for four or more days the cost would be NZ$220 plus AU$30 per day for food and onsite facilities. |
TransportFrom Auckland airport, take the train and the ferry to Waiheke Island. From there we will be able to pick you up. We will send precise information and direction to get to the ferry to all people registered.

Coming earlierIf you wish to, you are welcome to arrive a couple of days before the retreat starts. Feel free to come and stay, settle in and relax from Saturday the 25th of January. If you are intending to come earlier, an extra $20 per day for food will be asked for.
