Everyone Practicing at Namgyalgar, all year round.
Namgyalgar has many beautiful places to practice, with vast skies, protective mountains, shaded nooks, and everywhere connection to the land. It is a place to deepen our experience of Rinpoche's teachings, awakening even if for a moment, our own state. But for some, personal practice at Namgyalgar is difficult.
The retreat cabin is already used by members throughout the year. It is comfortable inside, with the growing feeling of regular practice to hold you. However, in Summer it can be very hot. In the rain it can leak and access can be difficult. This is okay for some, but not for all.
Many of use have sat by the dam, heard the frogs and let our mind settle. This is a perfect spot to practice away from it all.
However, it can be damp, insects can bite, and sun scorch. It can be difficult to get to. This is wonderful for some, but not for all.
With your support we will upgrade the retreat cabin and build a shelter at the dam, so that the elders of our community, those with illness or a disability are able to personal practice on the land, comfortably, all year round.
