Spring Retreat, Namgyalgar 29th September - 9th October Webcast retreat with Chögyal Namkhai Norbu from Barcelona, Spain and The Long Life Practice of Mandarava Led by Elise Stutchbury, SMS Base Teacher The retreat will commence at 4pm, Wednesday 29 September and end at 1pm, Saturday 9 October. The Video Webcast will be from 1-7 October, and the topic will be “Ati Dzogchen Tregchöd, a Terma of Master Rigdzin Jyangchub Dorje.” This Retreat will be an opportunity to deepen our practice of the long life practice of Mandarava. People who have received transmission from our Master but who do not know the Mandarava practice will be able to learn it. For those people who have received instructions on the srogtig breathings and the chudlen, especially in the webcast retreat of March 2010, and also the Caloundra retreat in 2003, there will be an opportunity to clarify these instructions as well as practice together. SMS students will also have the opportunity to clarify questions on their practice and study during this retreat. Please note: this retreat coincides with school holidays (and a Blues Festival in the local area) so consider bookings for transport and rental accommodation early. Meals: Meals will be prepared by way of a Food Co-operative formed by those attending the retreat who will share shopping, meal preparation and kitchen cleanup via a roster system. The cost per day is approx $12-15 for Adults (12 years +) or $4 per meal including beverages, and $6-8 per day for children. Childcare: There will be no professional childcare available so parents will be responsible for sharing child supervision / activities between themselves (assisted by others who may wish to partake in this). NB: legally children up to 16 years are required to be in the company of adults at all times on the land of the Gar and not left alone.
