Chöd Retreat
Friday 2nd - Tuesday 6th April 2010 This retreat will be led by Angie Gilbert, a Santi Maha Sangha Base Level teacher authorised by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, who has been teaching in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region since 2002. Angie will be teaching on the practice of Chöd, the essence of which is cutting attachment to the ego. Included in the retreat will be replays of the Webcast teachings on “Narog Ton Trug” by Yeshi Silvano Namkhai. The retreat is suitable for newcomers sincerely interested in the Dzogchen Teachings of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu. The Chöd is an extraordinary method closely related to the principle of behaviour of the Sutra, Tantra and Dzogchen teachings. The teaching of the Chöd and the way to practice it embraces and unifies the essence of these 3 teachings, and is based on the direct experience of the lady teacher Machig Labkyi Dronma who lived in the 11- 12th century. Through her experiences Machig Labdron discovered that the root of all our problems is the ego and the attachment we have to the "I". A more full explanation of the practice can be downloaded below:
